Elymus magellanicus - 'Magellan Wheatgrass'

Description: Native to high elevations in South America. A clumping grass with intense blue semi-evergreen foliage and blue spikes of wheatlike flowers that mature to tan.

Planting/Use: A good accent plant. Foliage colour is striking!

General Care: Cool season grower. Resents hot humid summers. Cut back in early spring and again later in the season if necessary to promote fresh new growth.

Exposure: Full sun to light shade in hot climates.

Height/Spread: 60cm x 60cm, flowers to 75cm (2ft. x 2ft., flowers to 2 1/2ft.)
