Red Switch Grass
Description: Red switch grass grows in a
tight vertical column. Purplish red highlights
on the leaf tips intensify as the season
progresses and turns reddish orange in the
fall.
Planting/Use: Very rich colouring, plant
resembles a fire with the smoke rising as colour
intensifies and the seed heads mature to
whitish grey. Stunning in mass planting.
General Care: Warm season. Drought and
wet tolerant, once established, in a wide range
of soils. Moist fertile loam preferred.
