Description: Long-lived and sturdy, this
versatile grass makes a good specimen for the
garden, with its green blades painted
brilliant burgundy-red to orange in the fall.
Grey flowers appear from late summer to
early fall.
Planting/Use: A very compact form of
Panicum useful in the small garden.
General Care: Warm season. Drought and
wet tolerant, once established, in a wide range
of soils. Moist fertile loam is preferred.
Exposure: Full sun.
