Description: A large upright pennisetum that begins growth earlier in the spring than similar varieties. Its glossy handsome foliage is topped by spectacular dark bottle brush flowers in the late summer. Foliage turns a rich golden in the fall.

Planting/Use: Effective in the border as a specimen or en masse.

General Care: Moist well-drained soil. Cut back in early spring.
