Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Avalanche'

Description: A clumping grass with variegated upright arching foliage, the reverse variegation of the popular 'Overdam' variety, cream in the centre with green margins. In early summer tall upright wine red flower spikes emerge which mature to a light tan.

Planting/Use: Effective as a specimen or en masse. Provide a strong vertical accent in the landscape as well as motion and sound.

General Care: Moist well drained soil. Dormant plants remain attractive. Cut back early spring.

Exposure: Full sun.
