Schizostylis coccinea - Kaffir Lily

Description: Grassy clumps of sword-shaped leaves with a fall display of large salmon red gladiola like flowers held on spikes above foliage.

Planting/Use: A colourful easy care addition to the perennial border providing a welcom burst of colour when other plants are fading.

General Care: Moist well drained soil. Cut back spent foliage and flowers in the early spring.

Exposure: Full sun.

Height/Spread: 60cm (2ft) by slowly spreading. Flowers to 75cm (2.5ft). Not invasive.
